The Skye Inn was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and new. There were plenty of power sockets!! The staff were very friendly and very helpful. They took good care of you. Pay attention to your GPS when looking for the hotel. It is a little hidden and it is easy to turn into the wrong driveway.
We booked a family room at this hotel & it was very comfortable. The bathroom was updated & well equipped. A five minute walk to the restaurants & shops. The free breakfast provided was very good with great service. Would definitely recommend.
We had two days here, and it was ok. The inside of the place is more attractive than the outside and they’ve worked at decorating. There are even books for borrowing! The food was very good and assigning a table was a nice touch. The room was small but there was plenty of storage space. However, the curtains were broken, as was the mirror, and the toilet was very difficult to flush. So repairs would be good. The beds were comfortable but the sheets rather rough. We would come back.
Really good location within walking distance of the town. All the staff were extremely helpful and everything was cosy and clean. The dining room stroke bar has a beautiful fire place and some very comfortable settees. A special thanks goes to the Manager who went above and beyond when he kindly posted our fridge magnets we had mistakenly left behind.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are as expected for Europe. However, the service was utterly spectacular! At the top of the list for us was Aly! At breakfast, she gave us an itinerary that we followed to “t” and it was PERFECT! I’m so glad we followed her recommendations! It was so much better than what we planned!
We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our room! We found it pretty spacious (especially the bed). Breakfast was great and we were glad that we didn’t have to figure out something in the morning. We could just jump in the car and head to our first location! There are a few fairly large potholes on the road to the Inn and the road that the Inn is on, which took some maneuvering in our rental car.
Very lovely place to stay, with friendly and thoughtful staff. The room was comfy, and had all the conveniences! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The Inn was a short walk into Portree. Thank you for a very nice stay! Cheers!
The Skye Inn was an absolutely wonderful hotel that comfortably accommodated our group of nine and provided peaceful, quiet sleeping conditions for several nights. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, clean, and well lit, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional experience. They seamlessly handled multiple roles throughout the hotel and made us feel genuinely cared for. Breakfast was a highlight — it was made to order from a menu rather than a typical continental breakfast, with fantastic options to choose from. A particularly thoughtful touch was seeing a sign on a large table welcoming our group for breakfast the next morning. We would highly recommend the Skye Inn and would happily stay there again!
